reasons why should we visit our dentist

Recently, there have been links established that tie bad oral hygiene to heart disease and other cardiovascular problems. For example, periodontitis, or gum disease, has been shown to triple the chances of heart disease, strokes, and diabetes. Also, good oral hygiene is known to reduce the incidence of some cardiac infections such as bacterial endocarditis.

The reasons for regular visits to a dentist are unlimited. The top ten reasons to see a dentist are below.

1. Prevents Oral Cancer

2. Prevents Gum Disease

3. Prevents the Loss of Teeth

4. Detects Dental Problems Early

5. Maintains Good Oral Health

6. Prevents Bad Breath

7. Have a White Smile

8. Maintains Good Physical Health

9. Creates a Treatment Plan

10. Use an Insurance Plan

*honestly... i hate going to the dentist, i hate to see those huge injections. I hate to feel and hear the crack when they are trying to pull-out your tooth. but i have nothing to do but to go to the dentist so that my teeth will be healthy..:-)

I agree, I am not a fan of the dreaded dental visit. I see all these studies now to, and they all say to floss. I'm sorry but flosing sucks! I just read that only 15% of Americans floss regularly, and out of those only 40% do it right. Tells me that floss just doesnt work. I am always looking for something diffent and I like stimudents-but its wierd to use a toothpick, tryed bryton pick it works for me, and brush pick is ok...is there anything else??? So far since i use those my check-ups have been much better...
